Job Summary:

As part of the 988/National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, Long Island Crisis Center is searching for a

Crisis Hotline Program Supervisor

to join our team. The ideal candidate is a licensed mental health professional who is a motivated team player and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Share in the oversight and supervision of 988 phone counselors Provide guidance and support to counselors during shifts and scheduled supervisions Answer 988 Lifeline and Nassau County Helpline calls during assigned shifts and when needed, providing timely and accurate documentation of calls in database Mentor Counselors-in-Training and monitor role plays when needed Assign and make Suicide outreach and follow up calls as needed Share in on-call responsibilities for interventions/consultations for counselors which includes overnights Other tasks as assigned

Skills/Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and can shift attention under distracting conditions without loss of accuracy Technologically proficient; ability to navigate digital platforms Ability to remain non-judgmental and provide non-directive, empathetic counseling to callers across a wide variety of topics and needs Can provide open and honest feedback in a courteous and professional manner

Education and Experience:

LMSW or LMHC required. Crisis Intervention or Supervisory experience a plus

Schedule:

Hybrid work environment - must be available to work 3 days a week in our Bellmore office Flexible schedule - some evening hours are required

Pay: $62,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
