POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Policy and Planning Administrator, this position is responsible for providing consultant services to the Bureau, Division, Department, and other agencies to improve operations and ensure efficient and effective accomplishments of agency objectives. This position works independently and in teams to accomplish established objectives. Incumbent will be responsible for conducting research to prepare plans and recommendations to objectives established by the division strategic plan.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties include:
Assisting with planning and coordinating the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Annual Training Symposium; Overseeing training evaluations, including creating and analyzing surveys in SurveyMonkey for the Compliance and Education bureau; Maintaining thorough knowledge of the divisional strategic plan and ensuring all objectives within the Compliance and Education bureau, as assigned, are addressed; Maintaining the Information Delivery and Education Section's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); Serving as Headquarters backup point of contact and backup administrator for nexTEST, CJIS Online, and eAgent; Serving as the backup to subject matter expert in FALCON; Consulting with local, state, and federal agencies relating to criminal justice information program planning; Assisting CJIS Information Security Office (ISO) office with vendor personnel tracking; and Preparing written reports, charts, letters, memoranda, procedural manuals, and other documentation in accordance with Department guidelines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Knowledge of the criminal justice system; Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis; Ability to organize data into logical formats for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials; Ability to utilize problem solving techniques; Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data; Ability to work independently; and Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.

NOTES:

Preference will be given to current FDLE members who have satisfactorily completed at least six months of the probationary period for their current position.
