The mission of Myrtle Beach College is to provide high quality, easily accessible, tuition free higher education in Christian perspective to as many people as possible. We are seeking adjunct faculty who can create 10 minute chapter specific video lectures that follow Cengage books which we use in our program. Applicants need to have a thorough knowledge of their subject area and excellent presentation skills. The presentations we are looking for are less Albert Einstein and more Mr. Rogers as we try to add a more human touch to online learning. All adjunct faculty positions require a minimum of a Masters degree (Doctorate preferred) and some classroom teaching experience. We need adjunct faculty for the following courses: Introduction to Criminal Justice, Community Policing, Corrections, Forensics in Criminal Justice, Evidence, Criminal Investigations, Terrorism and Homeland Security, Constitutional Law in Criminal Justice, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Juvenile Justice. Beginning this fall adjunct faculty will lead an evening, once each week discussion group for those taking their course. Traditional three credit courses are divided into three, one credit segments each of which last for four weeks. The compensation is downright pathetic but the eternal IRA provided is exceptional.
