We are expanding our

Criminal Defense Department

and seeking a skilled and passionate

Criminal Defense Paralegal

to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on a wide range of criminal matters, including misdemeanors, felonies, appeals, and rights restoration in both state and federal courts. This position is a full time position. Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare and file legal documents in municipal, justice, county, and federal courts. Maintain court calendars and manage client deadlines. Organize and update client files, ensuring accuracy in Clio (client management software). Communicate daily with clients, law enforcement, court officials, prosecutors, witnesses, and experts. Assist attorneys in trial preparation. Provide an exceptional client experience, ensuring client satisfaction and confidence in our legal services.

Qualifications & Skills:



Minimum

2 years of experience

as a paralegal (criminal defense experience preferred).

Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Ability to draft legal pleadings, memoranda, and correspondence. Familiarity with legal terminology and criminal defense procedures. Proficiency in

Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

and

Google Suite

; experience with

Clio

is a plus. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use sound judgment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information responsibly. Experience with

state and federal appellate court filings

is a plus.
