This position will focus on the Credit One Bank application processing systems, identifying opportunities for enhancement or streamlining, as well as identifying and remediating issues that may arise. This role will be responsible for representing the Risk Department in cross-functional projects and forums relating to the application process and ensuring that application decisions are behaving as expected based on rules and criteria in place. A good candidate will have a balance of technical skillsets to perform analyses and develop reporting tools and possess strong soft skills to manage stakeholders and projects. They will need to understand and retain technical information relating to our application systems.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Serve as the subject matter expert for all application processing rules and decisions
Coordinate cross-functional meetings and projects to improve the application process or resolve known issues
Act as the Risk representative in all application processing related matters, including incident remediations, bank wide initiatives or regular forums to discuss performance
Develop and maintain custom reporting solutions using SQL, SAS, and Microsoft tools such as Excel
Produce and maintain application processing procedure documents, ensuring visibility for other departments into how our application decisions are made
Identify opportunities to enhance and expand our monitoring tools and either develop or see the development of these tools through to completion
Provide guidance, training, and problem-solving assistance to other team members
Perform ad hoc duties and analyses as assigned
Demonstrate an ability to understand how application systems behave and challenge
Position Requirements
Proficient in the following: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
2+ years of SQL or SAS experience
Bachelor's Degree required; preferred majors include Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science
2+ years of work experience in a similar role in a professional corporate environment
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work items and projects
Critical thinker willing to challenge existing processes and recommend avenues to improve processes
Ability to work well with various departments and teammates
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Preferred Experience and Skills
Advanced degree in Business, Mathematics, or Computer Science
Consumer credit card industry experience
Advanced use of at least one of the following: SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake or SAS
