ABOUT NEW DEVELOPED NATIONS (NDN)
New Developed Nations is a licensed behavioral health agency offering trauma-informed, culturally grounded, and community-rooted mental health services for youth and families. We specialize in Healing Through Hip Hop, an emerging evidence-based practice that blends music, culture, and clinical skill-building to promote wellness for Black, Indigenous, and ALL system-impacted youth. As a WISe provider, NDN delivers youth-guided, family-driven, strengths-based services grounded in the CANS 3.0, the SNCD, and the TCOM philosophy.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Creative Coach is a WISe-certified Community-Based Worker responsible for providing intensive wraparound support to youth and families enrolled in the Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) program. Using a culturally relevant and creativity-driven approach rooted in NDN's GOATISH framework, Creative Coaches help youth build skills, strengthen relationships, and make meaningful progress toward stability and wellness.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - WISe Duties
- Participate in WISe processes including Safety Planning, Crisis Planning, CANS assessments, and Family Team Meetings.
- Provide structured skill-building, coaching, and community-based stabilization aligned with the Wraparound Plan.
- Support families in identifying needs, strengths, cultural priorities, and goals.
- Document services according to Medicaid, WISe, and NDN standards.
- Support youth and families in understanding their CANS ratings and progress.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Creative Coaching & Youth Support
- Build authentic, culturally responsive relationships with youth ages 6-21.
- Use creativity (music, art, writing, recording, cooking, gardening, fashion, podcasting) as a bridge to healing.
- Model GOATISH values in every interaction.
- Support emotional regulation, coping skills, and pro-social development.
- Assist with Healing Through Hip Hop groups and other creative groups.
- Support youth with transportation, school, court, and community obligations.
QUALIFICATIONS - Required
- Meets WA State WISe Community-Based Worker qualification standards.
- Ability to pass WISe, CANS, and crisis response trainings within 60 days.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and background check.
- Experience working with Black, Indigenous, and other youth of color.
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
- Cultural humility and commitment to youth-guided, family-driven care.
QUALIFICATIONS - Preferred
- Prior WISe experience.
- Knowledge of trauma, addiction, and adolescent development.
- Skills in creative expression, music, or community engagement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Community-based work including homes, schools, and NDN's creative space.
- Some evening/weekend work required.
- Weekly huddles, multidisciplinary meetings, and supervision.
