CRD Application Developer

Summary:

Pfizer is seeking a motivated CRD Application Developer to support the development of internal tools and platforms in a pharmaceutical R&D setting. This role focuses on supporting existing Python/Jupyter Notebook solutions and developing new tools to support chemists and engineers throughout the drug development process, leveraging Python and various cheminformatics packages. The CRD Application Developer will work alongside the lead developer of the internal application framework, as well as various scientists, to support the computational workflows.

Responsibilities:

Create new applications using the established Jupyter framework for web applications Maintain existing applications by implementing bug fixes and/or updates as needed Create new widgets to further enhance organizational capabilities Integrate and visualize experimental data into applications when applicable Implement and maintain Python-based pipelines for data acquisition and workflow automation Collaborate with scientific stakeholders to refine requirements and iterate on prototypes Work with APIs, databases, and internal data pipelines Document code and workflows following internal best practices and quality standards

Qualifications:

BA with 5+ years of experience OR MSc in Computer Science or related field required Experience with Jupyter Notebook, Python, and REST API required Experience with RDKit preferred

Location/Schedule:

Hybrid role based in Groton, CT Monday - Friday; 40 hours per week, first shift

The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
