Position Overview

We are seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive experience in individual and corporate tax preparation and planning. The ideal candidate will also have experience working with non-profit organizations, a deep understanding of U.S. tax regulations, and strong technical proficiency in accounting software. This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with occasional in-office collaboration at our Inlet Beach office.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review individual (Form 1040) and corporate (Forms 1120, 1120S) tax returns. Prepare and review non-profit tax returns (Form 990). Conduct tax planning and provide proactive strategies to minimize clients' liabilities. Manage multiple client engagements with attention to detail and deadlines. Review bookkeeping and financial reports prepared in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. Use CCH Axcess Tax software for preparation and electronic filing. Collaborate with internal accounting staff and clients to ensure data accuracy. Stay current with federal and state tax regulations and communicate updates to clients and the team. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants when needed.
Qualifications

Active CPA License (required). Minimum 5 years of experience in tax preparation (individual and corporate). Experience with non-profit tax filings is a strong plus. Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax software (preferred). Strong command of QuickBooks Online and Desktop. Excellent knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws. Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to modern cloud-based systems and digital workflows. Exceptional analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Strong communication and client relationship skills.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
