is looking for a

Court Services Data Specialist

to join our team! In this role, you'll be the connection between our jail, the courts, and other agencies--making sure inmate court appearances, releases, and transports happen smoothly and accurately. Every day brings something new, and your work helps keep our justice system running efficiently and lawfully.

Essential Functions



Gathers data regarding court proceedings from the Colorado State Court database for in-person court and video court. Enters and maintains data in various criminal justice computer systems and/or databases; sends and receives teletypes. Prepares and distributes the information for the release and detention of inmates; ensures information complies with legal and procedural requirements. Reviews documentation of court outcomes for immediate releases; authorizes the inmate immediate releases; authorizes and provides the inmate immediate release documents to jail booking. Contacts court clerks to clarify or correct data in the Colorado State Court database; ensures the correct data is imputed into Jail Management Systems Runs reports of inmate charges and compares it to charges in the Colorado Courts database; ensures all charges are entered accurately. Manages and coordinates the court transportation calendar. Updates booking types in Jail Management Systems. Coordinates with Booking to communicate sentencing data. Creates release notes for Personal Recognizance Bonds. Records bond information set by the Judge into the computer database. This information includes bond amounts, types of bonds, bond conditions, and rules of the bond(s). Communicates with the District Attorney's Office, Larimer County Courts, Larimer County District Courts, and other County departments. May perform assigned duties from Jail Booking as needed. Provides information to the public, outside agencies, and office staff concerning Sheriff's Office operations, procedures, and regulations regarding inmate transportation; assists both the public and employees in person or on the phone. Provides inmate transportation information. Processes and maintains data and records for inmate transportation and movement. Generates billing as applicable. Maintains accuracy, confidentiality, and security of all records and work areas. Ensures inmate's court appearance is accurately recorded into the database and coordinates with Local and District Courts. Documents court proceedings and data entry in the jail's computer management system. Completes Fugitive of Justice records. Schedules and facilitates video court for the jail, ensuring all inmates are appropriately notified of their rights. Coordinates, schedules, and enters records of transportation and video court for inmates in accordance with Writs of Habeas Corpus, Video Writs, Mitts, and Warrants. Documents and facilitates transportation from mental health institutions throughout the state. Arranges the most effective routes and transportation for inmates in the Department of Corrections and/or Denver Reception Diagnostic Center. Prepares, maintains, and coordinates detainers on inmates. Maintains relationships with other agencies with available bed space for hosting Larimer County inmates.

Nonessential Functions



Assists other agencies, courts, jails, and corrections as needed. When a local declaration of emergency or disaster is declared by the Board of Commissioners, all Larimer County employees may be required to work as a Disaster Service Worker. Performs other duties as appropriate or necessary for performance of the job.

Qualifications


------------------


Two (2) years of progressively responsible law enforcement support service experience required. High School diploma or GED required; additional education in criminal justice or another related field preferred. NCIC/CCIC certification within three (3) months of hire is required.
