Job Duties:

  • The County Admin Support Specialist II for our Laurens County office performs a variety of advanced clerical and typing duties for Economic Services program and exercises judgment and discretion in various duties performed for the agency.
  • Functions as case control receptionist for all programs (SNAP, TANF, Child and Adult Welfare) within office of Laurens Co. DSS. Greets walk-ins and discerns their needs. Serves as Customer Service Representative.
  • Performs job delivery and/or performance with positive or appropriate professional customer service delivery to clients, the public, and co-workers as an integral requirement.
  • Serves as switchboard operator of the agency by receiving calls, answering questions, and transferring calls to the appropriate extensions. Monitors, provides assistance, and/or transfers electronic voice mail.
  • Screens and registers new applications and re-certifications for SNAP and TANF Economic Services Division using SCWINS for both on-line and paper documentation. Receives, opens, date/county stamps, and distributes all drop box and incoming mail to appropriate individuals or through SCOSA/SCWINS. Copies and scans supporting documentation into SCOSA and rotates/assigns work according to RSW (Regional Specialized Workload) procedures. Monitors and processes the FA Mailbox. Acts as backup for electronic faxes received.
  • Participate in Red Cross training and shelter duty or other emergency shelter/services as directed.
Agency Requirements
A high school diploma and four (4) years of responsible clerical experience

Associate\'s Degree and two (2) years of responsible clerical experience
