We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while assisting with their purchases. Your expertise in retail sales and product knowledge will be essential in creating a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a knack for upselling, and the ability to handle transactions efficiently.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and purchases Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, ensuring accuracy in cash handling Provide product demonstrations to educate customers on features and benefits Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales counter through effective merchandising Stock shelves regularly to ensure product availability and assist with inventory management Utilize retail math skills to manage pricing, discounts, and promotions effectively Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable items Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, ensuring excellent phone etiquette Supervise junior staff as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment

Skills

Proven experience in retail sales or customer service roles Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately Experience in merchandising and stocking products effectively Bilingual abilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous Supervising experience is preferred but not mandatory
