Responsible for providing excellent customer service through counter sales and by responding to phone inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
+ Take personal responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others.
+ Actively participate in safety huddles and utilize the Safety Observation System (SOS).
+ Promptly report unsafe conditions and behaviors.
+ Consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
+ Maintain full adherence to all company policies at all times. Greet all customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Provide exceptional retail service at the Customer Care level:
+ Consistently exceed customer expectations.
+ Answer phone calls promptly and professionally.
+ Handle special orders and notify customers upon arrival.
+ Upsell by suggesting related items during purchases.
+ Pass sales leads to the appropriate team members. Maintain satisfactory product knowledge, including current pricing and inventory levels.
Address minor customer complaints professionally; escalate major issues to a manager.
+ Listen attentively to dissatisfied customers and work toward a satisfactory resolution.
Follow company procedures for sales transactions, refunds, credit memos, and related paperwork.
Assist with merchandising, stocking, product displays, and general housekeeping as needed.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance by wearing company clothing all times.
Receive and put away inventory as required.
Make deliveries when needed (must be at least 18 years of age).
Monitor for shoplifting and help maintain store security.
Maintain flexibility with scheduling to meet business needs.
Demonstrate a proactive attitude and willingness to support company and division success in any capacity.
Represent the company positively and professionally at all times.
Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Strong mathematical skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
Solid working knowledge of company products and services.
Positive people skills.
DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED, college or technical school experience preferred.
6 months experience in retail sales.
REPETITIVE PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Lift 60# from floor to waist; lift 60# from waist to shoulder.
Carry 60# over a distance exceeding 12 feet.
Push 60# in a wheeled cart.
Bend, stoop or squat to floor level repeatedly.
Reach overhead to grasp materials.
Stand for long periods of time.
Work inside a controlled environment but must be prepared to go outside if the need arises.
Fine motor skills required - keyboard entry for invoicing/inventory and product stickers to identify product
Work with mechanical equipment on a daily basis.
