The Tryst Trading Company food group is looking for a Counter Person to join our team of amazing individuals who share a genuine passion for creating and serving great food and drinks, and who enjoy working in a place that promotes a culture of building meaningful connections with our guests and amongst our staff. The Counter Person duties include, but are not limited to:

• Greet and assist all guests as needed.
• Anticipate and respond quickly to all guest needs.
• Take Togo Counter food and beverage orders and collect payments.
• Responsible for Counter Point of Sale (POS) cash drawer.
• Have detailed knowledge of all food and beverage menu items including key ingredients, common allergens, and menu pairing suggestions.
• Ensure Pickup orders are correct, complete and timely.
• Assist Barista in preparing coffee, tea and other beverage items.
• Assist with running food and beverages, and bussing guest tables.
• Ensure Counter displays and bakery cases are properly maintained and stocked.
• Monitor bakery items, and alert the Manager on Duty (MOD) of low stock counts.
• Constantly maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform assigned Running Sidework, and Closing Sidework duties.
• Perform tasks or duties as directed by the MOD.
• Be mindful of, and follow good food safety practices.
• Ensure guests have an enjoyable experience from the moment they arrive till the time they leave.
• Enjoy and promote an environment where one can build meaningful connections.

• Strong oral communication skills in English are required.
• Previous Caf\xc3\xa9 or Restaurant experience is a big plus.
• Adept at learning and memorizing - will be required to know menu items.
• High School degree preferred.
• Must be organized and able to multitask.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must work well under pressure.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
