Alaska Addiction Rehabilitation Services Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered care for individuals on their journey to recovery from substances. Our team is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those we serve, and we are seeking a skilled and empathetic Counselor to join our mission-driven team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health, substance use disorder with a focus on providing support to individuals facing various challenges and dual diagnosis issues. As a Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through their healing journey.

Duties

Provide clinical treatment functions for clients in individual and groups sessions using the client's treatment plan as a guide. Maintain client records in timely, orderly manner according to the guidelines established in the agency treatment manual. Adhere to State and Federal confidentiality laws. Guide clients in the preparation of an individualized treatment plan. Prepare for and participates in weekly client case reviews. Facilitate psycho-educational and process groups.

Requirements

Must be certified, as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Level 1. Prefer some experience working in a residential or outpatient setting. Must be knowledgeable of the interaction between chemical dependency and mental illness and the treatment issues related to dual disorders. Is able to communicate effectively verbally and in written form. Must be capable of maintaining client records, and client confidentiality as per State and Federal regulations. If a recovering individual, must be chemically free for a minimum of 2 years.

Pay: From $34.68 per hour
