Ichor Systems is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical

Cost Accountant

to join our team at our

Sauk Rapids, MN

facility. In this on-site role, you will play a key part in analyzing manufacturing costs, maintaining accurate inventory valuations, and supporting financial decision-making across the organization. What You will Do:



Analyze manufacturing variances including work order variance, scrap, purchase price variance, etc., and prepare regular reports highlighting these costs and identify inaccuracies. Gathers and compiles cost information and maintains database concerning expenses. Review and close work orders while communicating the drivers of any variances to the management team. Prepare cost estimates for new or proposed products and manufacturing processes. Work closely with production, engineering, and procurement teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives. Analysis of cost of operations including standard margin by part#, product line and customer. Responsible for overseeing cycle and physical count programs. Investigate and explain adjustments needed. Assist in month-end and year-end closing by posting journal entries related to revenue, inventory, COGS, accruals, etc. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring cost-related accounts are accurate and properly stated. Reviews, analyzes, and reports actual profit margins. Determines and recommends cost-saving solutions. Assist in yearly standard cost updates ensuring accuracy in inventory valuation.

What You Will Bring






Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required. 3 - 5 years of experience in cost accounting required. Strong cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required. Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft 365 or related software as well as accounting and ERP systems such as Oracle. Thorough understanding of accounting procedures. Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Excellent analytical, organizational skills and time management skills, with close attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with others in identifying resources and sharing the allocation of resources; anticipate potential problems as they develop and escalate appropriately. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. Ability to manage confidential information.
For candidates based in Minnesota, the pay range for this salaried exempt position is $70,300 - $119,500.




Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific range for your location during the hiring process.
