Overview

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Cosmetology Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in various cosmetology techniques and a desire to educate and inspire the next generation of beauty professionals. This role involves teaching a diverse curriculum that includes hair styling, makeup application, skin care, and more, while fostering an engaging learning environment for adult students.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans covering topics such as hair coloring, hair extensions, body waxing, eyelash extensions, and aesthetic treatments. Instruct students in practical skills including hair styling, makeup application, facials, dermabrasion, deep tissue massage, and nail care. Utilize effective teaching methods tailored to adult learners to enhance understanding and retention of material. Assess student performance through practical demonstrations and written evaluations. Maintain an organized classroom environment that promotes learning and safety. Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in cosmetology to ensure curriculum relevance. Provide guidance on industry standards and practices related to cosmetology services.

Experience

Proven experience in cosmetology with expertise in areas such as hairstyling, manicuring, chemical treatments, and esthetics. Previous teaching or adult education experience is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively. A valid cosmetology license is required; additional certifications in specialized areas are a plus.
