Position Summary:

The Cosmetologist is responsible for providing professional hair, skincare, and cosmetic services to guests in a relaxing and welcoming environment. This position offers flexible compensation options-either an hourly employee position or an independent booth rental agreement-allowing stylists to choose the structure that best fits their professional and financial goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide a full range of cosmetology services, including haircuts, coloring, styling, manicures, pedicures, facials, and makeup applications (based on license) Consult with guests to assess individual needs and preferences. Maintain a clean, organized workstation and ensure tools are sanitized per ND State Board of Cosmetology standards. Promote spa services, retail products, and special promotions to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue. Maintain accurate client and transaction records. Ensure a professional, courteous, and relaxing experience for every guest. Stay current on beauty trends, products, and techniques through continuing education. Participate in team meetings, training, and spa events. Adhere to all Sakakawea Spa and 4 Bears Casino & Lodge policies, including safety, sanitation, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

Current

North Dakota Cosmetology License

in good standing. Minimum one year of experience in a salon or spa preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Professional appearance and demeanor required. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Compensation Options

Flexible Pay Options Available:

1. Hourly Employee Option

-Competitive hourly pay with opportunities for commission, tips, and retail bonuses. Includes eligibility for employee discounts, internal events, and property-wide benefits.

2. Booth Rental Option

-Independent contractor structure with a fixed monthly booth rental fee. Stylists retain control over scheduling, pricing, and product usage within spa standards. Includes access to shared amenities, marketing support, and professional workspace.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods. Manual dexterity for detailed cosmetology services. Occasionally lift and move supplies up to 25 lbs.
