This is a booth rental position and would cost $125/weekly you will have full access to the salon and be able to create your own work schedule.

Duties

Perform a wide range of cosmetology services including haircuts, styling, coloring, and treatments using advanced techniques such as color theory and hair extensions. Deliver expert barbering services like straight razor shaves and precise hair threading to meet diverse client needs. Apply makeup for special occasions or daily looks, ensuring each client leaves feeling confident and radiant. Provide nail care services including manicures and pedicures to complete the beauty experience. Conduct consultations to understand client preferences and recommend suitable styles or products. Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by following all health regulations and store policies to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. Manage appointments efficiently using salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms to optimize scheduling and client flow. Upsell retail products like hair care, skincare, and beauty accessories to enhance client results and increase store sales. Assist with front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, checking in appointments, and handling retail transactions with retail math accuracy. Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in areas like hair styling, eyelash extensions, or nail care to foster professional growth within the team. Support store management in daily operations, inventory management, and promotional activities to ensure smooth salon functioning.

Skills

Proven expertise in hair styling techniques with a focus on modern trends and classic looks. Strong knowledge of color theory for flawless coloring results tailored to each client's skin tone and preferences. Skilled in applying hair extensions for added volume or length with precision and care. Proficient in barbering techniques including straight razor shaves and beard trimming. Experience with eyelash extensions and makeup application to create stunning transformations. Familiarity with salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management. Excellent sanitation practices aligned with health regulations to ensure a clean workspace at all times. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport quickly. Ability to upsell retail products effectively while providing genuine recommendations based on client needs. Knowledge of retail sales principles including retail math for accurate transactions and inventory control. Capable of performing hair threading as an alternative hair removal method when requested. Store management experience is a plus--helping oversee daily operations, team coordination, and customer satisfaction initiatives. Strong mentoring skills to support team development through coaching on technical skills like nail care or advanced styling techniques.
