This Correctional Program Specialist provides social and therapeutic services to assist with rehabilitation of offenders in custody though work in the Rehabilitation and Programs Division. This position will assess offenders through motivational interviewing and established evidence-based practices. Responsibilities include coordinating and completing intake and release-planning information for offenders programming.
Interviewing offenders regularly to evaluate their progress with accomplishing goals and maintaining the terms specified in their contracts and rehabilitation plans. * Establishing goals for the offender by gauging compliance with court-ordered restrictions and observing the effectiveness of treatment.
