Summary

We are seeking a

Correctional Nurse (LPN / RN)

to join our team at Coffey Health System. In this vital role, you will contribute to our mission by providing high-quality nursing care in our clinic and the county jail setting. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an Nurse Practitioner. Provide daily (Monday - Friday) health care services to inmates within the Coffey County Jail. Float within the clinics of Coffey County Hospital; as needed. Administer medications and monitor patient responses. Access and implement nursing care based on need. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications

Valid nursing license in the state of Kansas. Experience in clinic or corrections based settings preferred. Proficient in medication administration and patient assessment. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
