Northwest Renal Clinic, Inc (NWRC) is seeking a corporate controller to join our team. NWRC has been providing care to patients in the Portland market for over 50 years. We have 24 physicians and 15 APPs with offices throughout Oregon Pacific Northwest and the Islands of Kauai, Maui and Hawaii. NWRC has several business ventures that this position would be responsible for. When you join our team, you will have opportunities for a varied and challenging role in learning, assessing and developing the financial plan for the practice and its other investment entities. General duties include:
Ability to prepares the annual budget with the Board of Directors. Coordinates with leadership for short- and long-range fiscal needs and ensures that expenditures adhere to legal and budgetary requirements.
Ability to oversees the budget and prepare information for outside audit and tax accounting.
Works closely with external accounting firm/advisors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Provides information to the practice executive to evaluate the organization's financial position and issues periodic reports on the organization's financial stability and growth.
Manages all NWRC and affiliated businesses cash, loans, banking accounts maintaining good relationships with financial institutions.
Ability to completes financial analysis and makes recommendations to practice executive on existing and proposed strategic initiatives. Prepares financial and statistical reports required by the President, Board of Directors, Management Team and state/federal regulation and program requirements.
Implements financial policies and procedures that ensure compliance.
Prepares all reports for outside CPA firm for all monthly/quarterly and annual tax needs.
Prepares monthly cash flow projections to measure against annual budget.
Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
Manage cash flow, deposits, and accounts payable
Mange all payables and work to make the process more efficient and electronic to avoid written checks
Calculate and process distributions to owners
Prepare invoices monthly for customers that the practice provides services such as Telehealth and Medical Director services.
Reconcile co-pay and all cash received at the office
Manages month end and year end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements, reconciliation of accounts and analysis of financial data.
Maintain NWRC fixed asset list
Maintain accounting systems (QuickBooks) for NWRC and all affiliated businesses
Oversee all payroll, federal, state and local tax payments to assure timely filing and payment
Oversee all contributions to 401k plan and assure they are made timely.
Interface with 401k plan administrator for annual calculations for safe harbor, match and profit share contributions and annual census
Perform annual Affordable Care Act reporting
Qualifications:
Experience with QuickBooks
3-5 years' experience as a bookkeeper and/or controller in a healthcare setting preferred
Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting preferred
Competitive Salary & Benefit Package - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401K with profit sharing
Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 depending on experience
