Corporate Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist - Assisted Living
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for accounts receivable of specific assisted living facilities. Has interaction with resident's families and assisted living facility staff.
Accounts Receivable Management:
Maintains accurate monthly census, posts cash receipts, processes monthly billing (including Medical Assistance), and handles collections, refunds, insurance claims, and reporting.
Financial and Audit Preparation:
Balances accounts receivable monthly, prepares aged trial balances, compiles audit documentation, and processes Certificates of Rent Paid (CRPs) by year-end deadlines.
Tenant and Apartment Oversight:
Markets apartment units, manages tenant relations, rent collection, delinquent accounts, lease compliance, and coordinates repairs with maintenance.
Customer Service and Professional Conduct:
Provides courteous and helpful support to clients, families, staff, and visitors; upholds professional appearance, punctuality, and confidentiality standards.
Communication and Office Support:
Answers phones professionally, directs calls, greets visitors, and assists with additional business office tasks as assigned.
Ongoing Education and Policy Compliance:
Attends meetings, continuing education, and training sessions; stays current on policies, promotes quality improvement, and upholds resident rights.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient in basic bookkeeping skills.
Familiar with office equipment and be proficient in computer skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must qualify for employment, after criminal background check, per guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
