NATURE OF WORK:
The Corporate Accounts Manager (CAM) manages corporate partnerships for the VFW Foundation, overseeing account management, donor stewardship, and retention. As the main contact for sponsors, the CAM coordinates benefit fulfillment for events such as the National Convention and major fundraising initiatives. Reporting to the Director, Corporate & Foundation Relations, this role aligns corporate philanthropy with organizational goals and delivers high-quality sponsorships and programs.
The Corporate Accounts Manager serves as the principal relationship steward for existing corporate partners, responsible for renewals, satisfaction, and maximizing lifetime value. This position ensures that partnership deliverables are fulfilled on time, outcomes are measured, and opportunities for growth are identified through proactive engagement and collaboration.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Partnership Stewardship and Fulfillment:
Manage a portfolio of active corporate sponsors, serving as the primary day-to-day contact to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality fulfillment of partnership deliverables.
Ensure accurate tracking of benefits, acknowledgments, and partner communications to maintain long-term satisfaction.
Lead strategic sponsorship fulfillment to deliver measurable partner value, ensure visibility, and align outcomes with partner brand objectives.
Collaborate with the Corporate Relations Manager (CRM) to transition new partners within 30 days of activation, documenting all deliverables, timelines, and contacts in the Foundation's CRM system.
Renewal and Retention Strategy:
Lead annual partnership renewal planning and strategy sessions to strengthen retention and identify upsell opportunities.
Monitor renewal rates and satisfaction feedback to develop improvement plans for at-risk partnerships.
Reporting and Financial Management:
Develop and monitor budgets associated with corporate sponsorships and event support.
Collaborate with VFW National Headquarters on sponsorship opportunities related to the annual VFW National Convention, ensuring consistent sponsor recognition, benefit fulfillment, and alignment across Foundation and organizational events.
Track and analyze partnership performance; develop impact reports and renewal recommendations.
Maintain partner data integrity in the CRM system with 95% accuracy and produce quarterly fulfillment and financial reports detailing engagement, deliverables, and renewal potential.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Coordinate with Finance, Marketing, Programs, and Communications teams to align all aspects of corporate engagement and fulfillment.
Participate in quarterly collaboration reviews with the Corporate Relations Manager and Director to identify opportunities for growth, co-branding, and joint initiatives.
Strategic Engagement:
Represent the Foundation at corporate events, site visits, or sponsor engagements as needed.
Support Foundation initiatives by identifying opportunities for partners to participate in mission-driven campaigns such as Still Serving, volunteer programs, or veteran engagement events.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, 5 or more years of equivalent experience in corporate relations or account management will be considered.
Minimum of five years' experience in corporate relations, fundraising, or account management with a demonstrated record of success in managing corporate partnerships.
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Knowledge and experience in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Boomerang, Raiser's Edge) preferred.
Ability to research and analyze corporations for potential collaboration opportunities.
Self-motivated, with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
Advanced ability to analyze sponsorship outcomes, report ROI metrics, and forecast renewal probability.
Skilled in preparing narrative impact reports, visual summaries, and executive briefings for sponsors and internal leadership.
SCOPE OF POSITION:
The position is responsible for driving the renewal, retention, and overall satisfaction of corporate partners by maintaining an annual renewal rate of at least 80% and achieving an average partner satisfaction score of 4.5 or higher. This role ensures full and timely execution of sponsorship commitments, maintaining a 100% on-time fulfillment rate and securing an appropriate number of sponsors for major events and campaigns. The incumbent oversees accurate data management and reporting within the CRM, sustaining a 95% completion rate and delivering all quarterly reports with complete accuracy and timeliness. Financial oversight includes maintaining revenue and expense forecasts within a 10% variance and ensuring that impact and fulfillment reports are completed promptly. In addition, the position supports strategic engagement efforts by actively participating in quarterly collaboration reviews with CRM and Marketing teams and expanding mission-aligned initiatives by increasing the number of corporate partners engaged in veteran-focused programs.
This position is FLSA exempt and reports to the Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Performance-based, team-oriented office environment.
Daily research, analysis, and communications via computer, internet, and telephone.
Limited out-of-office travel required to facilitate corporate visits, events, and presentations.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

Develop and manage sponsorship budgets in coordination with Finance and leadership, ensuring forecasts remain within a 10% variance. Maintain a 95% CRM data accuracy rate and produce timely, comprehensive quarterly reports detailing fulfillment progress, partner engagement, and revenue outcomes.
Partner with internal teams, including Marketing, Communications, Programs, and Finance--to ensure consistent sponsor visibility, accurate benefit fulfillment, and alignment with overall organizational initiatives. Participate in quarterly collaboration reviews with the Corporate Relations Manager and Director to enhance efficiency and identify new engagement opportunities.
Support and expand corporate participation in veteran-focused and mission-driven initiatives, such as Still Serving and community engagement events. Represent the Foundation at sponsor activities, demonstrating professionalism, impact, and the organization's commitment to meaningful partnerships.
