The successful candidate will be a highly experienced subject matter expert in Maintenance, Calibration, workplace safety, and data driven management and leadership. A background in pharmaceutical equipment systems/applications, manufacturing, fill/finish and packaging, laboratory assets is a plus. The candidate must be a self-starter, possessing the ability to manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously as well as be able to influence, and develop relationships at all organization levels. The candidate must be capable of leading the Amgen Corporate Maintenance Program. Moreover, this individual will need to be adept at providing technical leadership and mentoring to broad network of Maintenance SME\xe2\x80\x99s.
Responsibilities:


  • Help create a world-class Maintenance organization.

  • Serve as corporate business owner for Amgen\xe2\x80\x99s maintenance program and related SOP\xe2\x80\x99s and supporting documentation

  • Serve as corporate GPO (Global Process Owner) for Amgen\xe2\x80\x99s Quality Management System (QMS) - F&E (Facilities and Engineering) maintenance program.

  • Lead ME (Maintenance Excellence) initiative to advance Amgen\xe2\x80\x99s maintenance strategy and digitization efforts. Advance elements of APM (Asset Performance Management) that will deliver value.

  • Develop and document calibration/maintenance policies and procedures across Amgen sites in collaboration with Maintenance leadership.

  • Maintain and improve the CMMS system (Maximo) to provide organized documentation of maintenance tasks in compliance with all company and regulatory agency requirements (cGMP, FDA, OSHA, ISO).

  • Interface with internal and external regulators (GQC, FDA, EU etc.) during audits and inspections.

  • Prepare maintenance metrics to track, trend, communicate and drive action to continuously improve equipment performance and optimize asset utilization.

  • Ensure that Amgen\xe2\x80\x99s Quality requirements are being fulfilled through effective performance monitoring, quality agreement establishment and conducting supplier technical audits/assessments.

  • Develop and implement Reliability plans that support increasing the uptime of manufacturing process and overall asset reliability.

  • Drive maintenance Best Practices: Innovate, document, improve work methods, standardize, provide a safe work environment, and require safe work practices, train, collect, measure, and analyze key performance indicators to improve processes across Amgen network.

  • Engage and actively participate in various global networks (Maximo Users Group, Planning/Scheduling, Reliability, Maintenance Excellence) and coordinate related network activities

  • Provide continuous system improvement by monitoring and evaluating current practices and then designing and implementing enhancements that lower costs and extract the most value from existing technology and systems.

  • Integrate existing and or newly acquired facilities into Amgen global Maintenance/Calibration programs.

  • Be a lead resource in business process, system development and testing for (CMMS/Maximo)

  • Encouraging innovation, identifying opportunities, and sharing best practices to improve productivity and data quality in Maintenance Program.

  • Collaborate with others SME\xe2\x80\x99s in the company to identify the best paths forward when resolving issues

  • Provide secondary support for other maintenance and reliability information systems as needed

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of maintenance experience
Or
Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree and 6 years of maintenance experience
Or
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree and 8 years of maintenance experience
Or
Associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree and 10 years of maintenance experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of maintenance experience
And
2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $116,669 - $142,024.
