We are seeking a Coordinated Entry Specialist for LCADV which is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Coordinated Entry Specialist is responsible for coordination of LCADV's HUD-funded Coordinated Entry Project. The Coordinated Entry Project provides system-level coordination of the process by which people experiencing homelessness access housing resources in certain areas of Louisiana. The Coordinated Entry Specialist will provide coordination, grant management, training, and technical assistance to domestic violence advocacy organizations on the implementation of this project in partnership with LCADV. They will also provide direct support to the Coordinated Entry system as it pertains to survivors of domestic violence who are experiencing homelessness.
Full time, 40 hours, non-exempt.
Travel: As much as 30%
In this role, you will:
Manage the Coordinated Entry process for domestic violence survivors in certain regions of the state, which includes maintaining an accurate domestic violence prioritization list, responding to housing referral requests, and maintaining referral outcome information.
Provide specialized help to domestic violence shelters on the development and implementation of Coordinated Entry programming, including housing navigation and supportive services.
Review monthly invoices from domestic violence shelters to ensure compliance with HUD regulations.
Develop and maintain resources specific to HUD-funded coordinated entry and supportive service projects for domestic violence organizations.
Provide housing-focused training, both in person and web-based, to domestic violence shelter staff and community partners.
Ensure compliance of LCADV's housing initiatives with state law, federal law, and grant requirements.
Complete programmatic and grant reports, as required.
Represent LCADV on various boards and task forces, as needed.
Implement additional projects of service to member programs, as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years' experience working in a domestic violence program or HUD Continuum of Care-funded project.
Knowledge on the intersections of domestic violence and access to permanent housing, and knowledge of various housing approaches, programs, and policies.
General knowledge of Coordinated Entry systems.
Experience with HMIS or a comparable database.
Understanding of the role of state domestic violence coalitions and domestic violence programs in the intervention and prevention of domestic violence.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
Ability to function effectively in stressful and/or crisis situations.
Demonstrated ability to manage time, evaluate progress, and to adjust tasks/activities to complete work within established time frames.
Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
Ability to work independently with self-discipline and self-motivation.
Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
Computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Compensation
Salary Range: $42,000-$50,000
