You enjoy providing outstanding service and producing high quality nutrition. The Cook\xe2\x80\x99s role is preparing and serving attractive and tasty meals for the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Prepare meals and snacks that are appealing and tasty and served at the right temperature per the menu and schedule.

\xc2\xb7 Prepare special limited diets per policy and physician orders.

\xc2\xb7 Identify menu errors and make appropriate corrections as needed, bringing the necessary changes to the Culinary Director\xe2\x80\x99s / Executive Chef\xe2\x80\x99s attention.

\xc2\xb7 Properly store, date, and rotate food per food handling guidelines.

\xc2\xb7 Follow kitchen cleaning schedule.

\xc2\xb7 Relate to residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner.

\xc2\xb7 Keep environment safe and clean.

\xc2\xb7 Perform as a Culinary Aid or Dishwasher in addition to their duties as needed.

\xc2\xb7 Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

\xc2\xb7 Must be an honest and dependable individual.

\xc2\xb7 Must maintain proper hygiene.

\xc2\xb7 Must be professional in dress and presentation.

\xc2\xb7 Must be willing to be active during entire work shift.

\xc2\xb7 Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in Standard English and use own judgment and initiative in daily activities.

\xc2\xb7 Must be a mature individual. Must possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.

\xc2\xb7 Must have strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

\xc2\xb7 Must be detail and team work oriented.

\xc2\xb7 Must attend required in-services/ workshops to further education of skills and community requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Must be drug-free and submit to urinalysis drug screening upon hire and routinely.

\xc2\xb7 Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations.

\xc2\xb7 The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Koelsch Communities.

Licenses, Certifications, & Education Required:

\xc2\xb7 Passed an approved food handler\xe2\x80\x99s or ServSafe course as required by County, State and/or Community policy.

\xc2\xb7 Must possess a current CPR/First Aid certificate and update as needed.

Supervisory Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 This role does not have any supervisory requirements.

\xc2\xb7 This role may be designated to supervise Culinary Aides and Servers serving on the same shift.

Uniform and Appearance Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 Clean white or black undershirt and chef coat (provided), black head cover (provided), black pants, and black close-toed non-slip shoes.

\xc2\xb7 Must abide by the Community dress code policy.

Position Equipment:

\xc2\xb7 Various kitchen equipment will be assigned by the culinary department supervisor.

Work location and Travel Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 This role is a 100% on-site role.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
