The Savoy Hotel is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented

Line Cook

to join our culinary team. This role combines ingredient preparation with line execution to ensure high-quality dishes and a seamless guest dining experience at our iconic oceanfront property.

Schedule:

Must be available for daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts

Responsibilities:

Prepare all ingredients, sauces, and mise en place according to prep lists, recipes, and quality standards. Cook, season, and plate menu items consistently, ensuring proper presentation, portion control, and temperature. Set up, stock, and maintain a clean, organized workstation throughout service. Support smooth kitchen operations during high-volume periods, maintaining accuracy and speed. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures as per health department and hotel standards. Properly store and label all food products to ensure freshness and minimize waste. Assist with daily and weekly inventory, receiving deliveries, and verifying product quality. Participate in regular cleaning and deep-cleaning duties, including equipment, refrigeration units, and prep areas. Communicate effectively and respectfully with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, fellow cooks, and front-of-house team to ensure seamless service. Contribute to menu development, specials, and tastings when requested by the Chef. Ensure compliance with portion and cost control guidelines. Uphold kitchen organization, teamwork, and a positive, professional work atmosphere.
What We're Looking For:

1-2 years of kitchen experience preferred (hotel or high-volume restaurant a plus) Solid knife skills and basic cooking technique knowledge Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to follow direction Calm, efficient, and reliable under pressure in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with good communication skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Culinary training or degree preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:

Able to stand for extended periods and work in hot kitchen conditions Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and perform frequent bending and movement
