Position Summary


The Controls Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and mechanical equipment across Accelevation's manufacturing facilities Houston, MS. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, control systems, and machinery. The Controls Technician will troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support facility upgrades and expansions. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:


Install, maintain and repair electrical systems, wiring, control panels and equipment in accordance with local, state and national codes. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and machinery. Read and intepret blueprints, technical diagrams and schematics. Ensure compliance with OSH standards and company policies. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to support upgrades and installations.

Minimum Qualifications:


Minimum 5 years experience as industrial or maintenance electrician in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience Completion of a formal apprenticeship or technical training program in electrical systems required State or local electrician license.

The noise level in the work environment is very loud where ear protection is necessary.
