Position Overview

This position is responsible for ensuring low voltage industrial instrumentation and control equipment and systems are kept in working order, monitored and maintained for use within an industrial facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, calibrate, test and repair plant instrumentation and controls to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations both in the field and in the shop.
  • Perform trouble shooting and analytical activities to determine equipment issues or malfunctions. Develop and implement solutions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Research, recommend and implement new and revised procedures, systems and equipment for assigned unit. Lead the installation of electrical control systems and instrumentation systems including electronics, programmable controllers, telemetry, telecommunications, meters, generators, transmitters, hydraulics, pneumatics, and a variety of other systems.
  • Provide technical advice, educate and train users and management on usage and settings to maximize productivity and efficiency. Work closely with private control system design and engineering teams.
  • Use maintenance management system to generate work orders and manage supply inventory. Modify, design and change control circuits; install temporary systems to sustain operations.
  • Interpret and modify drawings, blueprints, schematics and diagrams for various processes.
  • Maintain efficient documentation and records on operations and activities; coordinate and prepare a variety of reports as needed.

  • Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments

  • Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate\'s Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years\' relevant experience required
