Job Description


This role involves the creation of electrical and control systems for industrial equipment used in pollution control and dehumidification. The engineer will manage projects from initial design stages through testing, and may also handle field service upgrades. The position requires offering technical assistance to sales, manufacturing, service personnel, and clients.

  • Develop, test, and implement electrical controls based on specific customer requirements.
  • Design electrical diagrams, panel arrangements, Sequence of Operations, Utilities Diagrams, PLC Ladder Logic Programs, and HMI interface Programs.
  • Select components and perform necessary calculations to meet project criteria.
  • Generate electrical bill of materials and specialized instructions for manufacturing documents.
  • Review all documentation for accuracy prior to submission, release, and creation of operation manuals.
  • Provide assistance during unit assembly, wiring, and testing in the manufacturing process.
  • Support service technicians during installation and start-up procedures.
  • Adhere to our Quality protocols and project milestones.
  • Contribute to enhancements in electrical design practices.
  • Stay updated on the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Offer technical and cost-related support to the Sales department when required.
  • Travel to customer sites for project-related sales or service start-up purposes.
  • Travel to suppliers as needed to support equipment manufacturing.

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or possess a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant technical experience.
  • Possess at least five (5) years of hands-on experience in designing industrial control systems for industrial machinery.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of expertise with PLC-based control systems, including proficiency in programming Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLCs.
  • Exhibit skills in developing Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications.
  • Preferred experience with ACAD Electrical for creating electrical diagrams, panel layouts, and utility diagrams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems, with experience in Glovia being an advantage.
  • Understand and apply principles from NEC, UL, CUL, CSA, CE, and IEC standards.
  • Experience in any of the following areas is advantageous: Oxidizers, Centrifugal Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Dampers, and instrumentation.
