In order to ensure a smooth transition, the retiring CFO will remain on a part-time basis, for a limited time.

Summary of the Position of Controllerr:



This is the Senior Management Position within the Finance Department. This position is a full-time, on-site position, reporting to ownership on a regular basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the department's performance of the day-to-day financial operations of the business and will supervise a talented staff that maintain the books and records of the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



Maintain the financial records of the business using various automated financial systems including NetSuite, Microsoft Office, and Industry Specific Software

Responsible for the daily/monthly reconciliation of all cash accounts

Supervise the accounting staff; Manage A/P and A/R Functions; Oversee proper coding of credit card transactions; review posting of job costing journal entries

Manage monthly closing cycle including month-end journal entries and accruals

Prepare Quarterly Financial Statements for review by CPA & Bank

Prepare the Annual Budget; Review Actual to Budget and Actual to Prior Year; Explain variances and highlight trends

Prepare year-end financial data including reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts and annual accruals for CPA review

Manage the annual insurance price comparison and renewal; Prepare data for the annual Worker's Compensation audit

Interface with the Senior Management Team/Business Owners/Bankers/Attorneys/CPA

Have a working knowledge of SBA Loans/EIDL Loans/ Workforce Grant

Responsible for biweekly payroll approval/posting/tracking

Handle all aspects of Human Resources including onboarding/file maintenance/annual benefits review and presentation

The Qualifications of the ideal candidate may include:



Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting

CPA /MBA a plus, but not required.

8-10 years of experience in a senior financial management position

Working knowledge of automated financial systems; Experience with NetSuite Accounting Software is a plus but not required

Human Resources experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 per year
