Job Description

Position Summary



We are looking for a skilled Controller to direct the company's accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support strategic decision-making. The role will work closely with the CFO in budgeting, internal controls, and audits, while leading the Finance team to maintain accuracy, transparency, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities



Supervise all aspects of the accounting cycle, including reconciliations, month-end closings, annual reporting, and the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Manage treasury operations, oversee cash flow, evaluate financial risk, and ensure timely submission of tax filings (sales tax, withholdings, municipal returns, etc.). Lead teams responsible for accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and collections, promoting collaboration and continuous development. Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring readiness, accuracy of records, and compliance with established standards. Develop, implement, and improve accounting policies and internal control procedures that protect company assets and enhance efficiency. Generate financial reports, dashboards, and analyses to support strategic decisions and performance evaluations. Collaborate with operations, HR, and sales departments to align financial practices with business objectives and growth plans.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation or equivalent certification preferred. At least five (5) years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including exposure to compliance, audits, and reporting. Comprehensive understanding of GAAP principles, tax compliance, and control frameworks. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus. Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide, mentor, and motivate finance teams. Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities, with a track record of interpreting and presenting complex financial data. Fully bilingual in Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills for reporting and collaboration. High ethical standards, confidentiality, and professionalism in all financial dealings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
