We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our accounting practices. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting, compliance, and internal controls. Responsibilities



Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). Manage the general ledger accounting process, including account reconciliation, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Lead regulatory reporting efforts to ensure compliance with government and industry standards, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements. Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and accurate recordkeeping. Oversee cash management activities, including forecasting, cash flow analysis, and bank reconciliations using financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and ensure adherence to policies. Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making by executive leadership. Coordinate budgeting processes and monitor financial performance against forecasts to facilitate effective resource allocation. Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards when applicable, including grant tracking and fund accounting. Lead technical accounting initiatives related to complex transactions such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, or other regulatory requirements.

Experience



Proven experience in corporate accounting with a strong background in governmental or nonprofit sectors preferred. Extensive knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, and regulatory reporting standards. Demonstrated expertise in financial report writing, account reconciliation, balance sheet management, and general ledger accounting. Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar platforms. Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts including debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, payroll processing, and account analysis. Skilled in cash flow forecasting, financial analysis, budgeting, and financial management strategies. Prior experience working within public accounting or auditing firms is advantageous for understanding complex compliance requirements. Excellent analytical skills combined with a high level of financial acumen to interpret data accurately and provide actionable insights. Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
