We're looking for a

Control Room Dispatcher

to join our Operations team and play a critical role in keeping the lights on across our communities. You'll be the key connection between our field crews, cutting-edge technology, and the reliable service our members count on.

What You'll Be Doing:

Monitor & Respond:

Keep a watchful eye on our SCADA, OMS, and ADMS systems, identifying issues before they become problems.

Coordinate Field Crews:

Dispatch the right people to the right place fast. Whether it's a power outage, hazardous situation, or urgent maintenance, you'll be ready.

Communicate with Precision:

Serve as the go-to communicator between the control room and field teams. Clear, friendly, and accurate communication is your superpower.

Support System Reliability:

Track outages, update models, and make sure every detail, down to truck numbers and blink counts, is spot on.

Stay Calm in the Storm:

Literally. During major weather events or emergencies, you'll be part of the critical response team, helping restore service when it matters most.

What You Bring:

High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree a plus). 1+ year of dispatching or utility operations experience preferred. Knowledge of SCADA, OMS, GIS, or electrical distribution systems is a big bonus. Calm, focused decision-maker--even in high-pressure situations. Strong communication, multitasking, and computer skills. A valid NC driver's license and a good driving record.

Additional Details:

We are currently seeking a Control Room Dispatcher to fill a

night shift

role, which includes a rotating schedule of 2:00 PM-10:00 PM, 6:00 PM-6:00 AM, and 10:00 PM-6:00 AM, depending on operational needs. Initial training will be conducted during day shift hours to provide thorough onboarding and ensure a smooth transition into the role. Day shift training will last approximately 2 to 3 months. As this is a 24/7 operation, flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is essential. Must reside within 25 miles of the office in Statesville, NC. This is a Job Site Reporting position.
