Department Overview
The Coworkers of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E\'s electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response.

Position Summary
The Central Estimating & Design leadership job family within Electric Engineering is responsible for design, coordination, and delivery of Electric Distribution job packages, including both underground and overhead system hardening, poles & EC tags, and capacity work. The Supervisor role within Contract Estimating & Design leads a team of ADEs, Owner\xe2\x80\x99s Engineers, and contract vendors to drive safety and reliability in the aforementioned work, collaborating across departments while driving continuous improvement in designs, estimates, and other related work.

This role requires the ability to manage a team remotely, as it is hybrid with some occasional in-person meetings. The successful candidate will help PG&E achieve its 10K underground target and may select headquarters in West Sacramento, Oakland, or Fresno.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

Although, we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is: \xe2\x80\x8b

Annual Minimum (California) $120,000.00
Annual Maximum (California) $190,000.00
&/OR
Annual Minimum (Bay Area) $126,000.00
Annual Maximum (Bay Area) $200,000.00

Job Responsibilities
Manages a strong and diverse team of SMEs and design professionals to drive performance and accomplish results through effective recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management/coaching and rewards and recognition.
Assists in coordinating and implementing new tools and work practices to improve productivity and efficiency, monitoring activities and performance against plan.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders.
Ensures all estimates are performed according to standards, meeting engineering design criteria and compliance requirements.
Ensures compliance with Tariff regulations.
Manages daily work activities; reviews and approves priorities and work products.
Develops the business knowledge and technical skills of employees necessary to succeed in their jobs.
Develops a safety culture that is accountable for decisions and provides messaging regarding safety. Investigates and determines root cause failures in a timely manner for incidents and near misses.

Qualifications

Minimum:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
Three (3) years of job-related experience
Two (2) years of utility/construction/urban planning experience including experience with service planning, estimating, project management, technical customer service and/or other relevant experience
Good communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to effectively build relationships and manage team
Valid Drivers\xe2\x80\x99 License
May travel 0-10% of the time

Desired:
Leadership experience, job-related, 2 years
Knowledge of estimating preparation and approval process
Working knowledge of the Work Management Process, SAP, and Construction Scheduling process
Knowledge of the California Public Utility Commission General Orders (GO) 95, 128 and 165 requirements and bargaining unit contracts
Proficient in Microsoft Office
PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
Construction Management certification
