Location: Remote Home Office Position Summary: The Content Director has a passion for creating innovative content for children, parents, and educators. The Content Director will expand successful product lines, propose and develop new product lines, including workbooks and activity books, and cultivate strategic partnerships to promote business growth within the trade channel. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ideate new products and line extensions for the home learning market, using up-to-date knowledge of sales trends, competitors, and end-user needs.
• Effectively manage a publication plan and product pipeline in alignment with the company mission, vision, and growth goals.
• Cultivate meaningful cross-functional partnerships with authors, consultants, vendors, customers, sales teams, and end-users that positively impact the quality and market success of content development.
• Champion projects through the publishing process, managing resources and problem-solving to meet project milestones and budgets.
• Proactively collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to strategically promote products.
• Effectively manage an annual budget and project budgets for the highest ROI and potential for business growth.
• Collaborate with internal and/or external teams to support the creation and production of resources.
• Use data and reporting tools to support decision-making.
• Consistently demonstrate effective leadership and mentoring skills to build capacity of staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in educational publishing or content development.
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in education, English, journalism, or related field.
• Experience working with activity books, workbooks, or other related products aimed at children in grades PreK-6.
• Experience working with external vendors, contractors, and partners in a project leadership capacity.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to travel periodically for in-person meetings and events.

Physical Requirements:

• Sit for extended periods of time, including at a computer.
• Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.
• Repetitive hand and wrist movements for frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.

• Home office environment.
