The Content Creation Associate is an eager, active and creative community engager focused on building written, design and video content that furthers our reach and engages new and existing audiences through United Way for Southeastern Michigan\'s social, digital and print communications channels. The individual in this position will be responsible for the creation of unique content, as well as taking existing content from a variety of sources and reworking it for donors, funders and other key stakeholders.
The individual in this position should be able to bring creative energy to the team, take direction in specific assignments, and ideate new ways to display UWSEM\'s stories, impact, voice and brand. Candidates must submit writing samples to be considered for this role. Working links to external websites are accepted. Key Responsibilities:
SOCIAL MEDIA

• Daily creation of social media content curated from a variety of sources, including existing UWSEM storytelling, press releases, event photography/video, partner communications, media outlets and other sources
• Assist with monitoring and responding to conversations on social media channels
• Assist with creation of live social media content at UWSEM and community events, including photography, video and written content

• Write blogs, impact reports, newsletter blurbs and other related content promoting and supporting volunteerism, advocacy, community impact and events.
• Assist with drafting talking points, video scripts and other marketing and event materials as needed
• Assist with writing press releases and media alerts, as well as general public relations support as needed

• Light editing of short-form videos for internal and external use, including social media, internal events, presentations and other needs
• In collaboration with design team, creation of social media, email or other graphics
