Position Summary: The Consumer Lending Processor role will be making a difference in our members\xe2\x80\x99 lives through their lending needs. This is accomplished by providing the highest quality experience for both internal and external members. The Processor II will be responsible for processing of all consumer loan documents connected with the initiation of loans including processing incoming consumer loan applications, by verifying and evaluating information provided on consumer loan applications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reviewing, processing and funding consumer loans while ensuring accuracy and completeness of all reviewed loan documentation.
  • Process assigned applications including but not limited consumer auto loans, personal and credit cards.
  • Conduct quality assurance audit to evaluate completeness and readiness to further process and fund.
  • Provides operational support by assisting in loan related inquires received by other departments.
  • Guides team members to effectively and efficiently complete consumer loan documentation.
  • Coordinate with member and team members to obtain the necessary documentation for loan closing.
  • Identifies department needs and suggests proper process improvement or training to meet those needs.
  • Monitor queues in the loan system, and various other databases.
  • Sort, Log and disburse applications evenly for processing for submitted high and low priority loans.
  • Demonstrates a team player with a positive attitude within the department and across the credit union.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of lending guidelines and credit union policies.
  • Assists in answering phones, emails, faxes, team, and embanking messages related to loan processing.
  • Assists management in developing short and long term objectives, goals, and strategies.
  • Assists management in evaluating and implementing department process improvements.
  • Assists with various loan projects, system testing, internal WIKI (intranet site), and training updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 1 or more years of loan processing or similar experience
  • Credit union or retail banking experience preferred
  • High School diploma required
  • Strong communication, problem solving, administrative, multitask and organizational skills required
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to adapt to a fast-changing environment
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Willingness and ability to exhibit Wellby Core Values every day
Job Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Must be able to occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds across office and load onto shelves for various needs.
