Job Description


Location: Memphis, Birmingham or Raleigh preferred; will consider candidates located in Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina and New Orleans.

SUMMARY

The Consumer Team Leader is primarily responsible for administering Credit Assurance Services\xe2\x80\x99 (CAS) Consumer Review program and leading the Consumer Credit Review team to review and monitor risks in the Consumer loan portfolio and credit processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to CAS Consumer Review policies and procedures.
  • Help determine annual Consumer Review scope, monitoring plan, and review plan.
  • Monitor Consumer loan origination quality and asset quality, changes to policy and procedures, and changes or identified weaknesses in credit processes.
  • Perform examinations and continuous review of Consumer loan products, credit processes, and Consumer Quality Control department.
  • Communicate CAS monitoring and review results with respective units and/or management via written reports and oral presentations.
  • Identify key issues, recommend corrective action, and collaborate with respective units and/or management to ensure satisfactory remediation.
  • Develop and maintain productive internal client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities and complete required training.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with directing, coordinating, and evaluating CAS Consumer Review staff in accordance with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include assistance with interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, directing, and reviewing work; and appraising overall job performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position:
  • Bachelor (4-year college) degree and 8-10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience
  • Prior Consumer credit review and/or underwriting experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Microsoft Office suite
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS (Ex: CPA, Series 6 or 7 license, etc)
