The Opportunity



We're seeking an experienced

Construction Cost Estimator

to join our growing

Preconstruction and Cost Management team

. This role is ideal for someone with strong conceptual estimating skills and a deep understanding of cost analysis, project feasibility, and early-stage budgeting.

You'll work closely with project managers, owners, and design teams to shape realistic budgets and ensure financial alignment from preconstruction through delivery. This is a key position that directly contributes to the success of impactful projects across St. Louis and the Midwest.

Key Responsibilities



Develop

conceptual, schematic, and detailed cost estimates

for commercial and public sector projects Prepare and maintain

accurate budgets, cost models, and value-engineering analyses

Collaborate with

owners, architects, and engineers

throughout design development Review and evaluate

contractor proposals

, bid analyses, and cost validations Interpret

drawings, specifications, and market trends

to ensure realistic pricing Provide

cost guidance and feasibility insights

during early design phases Support

project funding, phasing, and schedule alignment

Mentor junior estimators and promote a collaborative preconstruction culture

What You Bring



Bachelor's degree in

Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture

, or related field

5+ years of experience

in estimating or preconstruction within commercial construction Proven ability to develop

conceptual and detailed cost estimates

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proficiency in

estimating software, Excel, and market cost databases

Experience working directly with

owners, architects, and contractors

A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and accountability
