We are seeking a reliable, experienced General Construction Laborer with hands-on skills in framing, drywall, floor tile installation, and wood flooring installation. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently as part of a team on residential and/or light commercial projects.
### Key Responsibilities
### Framing & Carpentry
- Assist with layout, framing, and installation of walls, floors, and ceilings
- Measure, cut, and assemble lumber and other materials according to plans
- Install doors, trim, blocking, and other basic carpentry components
### Drywall
- Assist with hanging, cutting, and fastening drywall panels to walls and ceilings
- Help with taping, mudding, sanding, and basic finishing as directed
- Repair or patch drywall as needed
### Floor Tile Installation
- Prepare subfloors, including cleaning, leveling, and underlayment installation
- Lay out tile patterns and cut tile to fit using appropriate tools
- Mix and apply thinset and grout, clean and finish tile surfaces
### Wood Flooring Installation
- Prepare subfloor and underlayment for wood/laminate/engineered flooring
- Install various types of wood flooring (nail-down, glue-down, floating systems)
- Cut, fit, and finish flooring around obstacles and transitions
General Labor & Site Support
- Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements
- Assist other trades and perform additional duties as assigned
### Qualifications
Required:
- Prior construction experience with:
- Framing/carpentry
- Drywall hanging and basic finishing
- Floor tile installation
- Wood/laminate flooring installation
- Ability to read a tape measure and use basic hand and power tools
- Ability to follow directions, work independently, and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience in residential or commercial construction
- Experience reading basic plans or drawings
- Knowledge of building codes and best practices for framing and finishes
- OSHA 10 or other safety certification (We pay for the certification, after 3 months on the job)
### Physical Requirements
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to [50-75] lbs. regularly
- Able to stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods
- Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
