Job Title: Construction Worker I
Job Type: Full-time, 50 hour work week, 10 hour shifts - 5 days per week
Salary: $18.00 per hour

Job Summary: The Construction Worker I will assist in various tasks on construction sites, including but not limited to, site preparation, material handling, and equipment operation. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of construction sites by cleaning trash, loading and unloading materials, and setting up equipment.
• Operate hand tools and power tools as required for various tasks.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and project managers to complete daily assignments.
• Learn and retain knowledge of skills performed during civil construction processes.
• Transport materials and equipment to and from the job site.
• Assist in traffic control.
• Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Train in operation of small equipment to include soil compactor, off road truck, mechanical broom, and street sweeper.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools and power tools.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
