Job Description

The Superintendent oversees all on-site activities for big-box retail construction projects in South Florida, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. This role manages subcontractors, coordinates inspections, and serves as the primary point of contact for day-to-day site operations.

  • Manage all day-to-day on-site construction activities for big-box retail projects.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Enforce safety protocols and compliance with OSHA and local building codes.
  • Monitor project schedules and progress, proactively addressing delays or issues.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to maintain standards.
  • Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and change orders.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and documentation for project tracking.
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers, clients, and stakeholders regarding site status.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper inventory management.
  • Resolve on-site conflicts and provide solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Prepare for and manage inspections with local authorities and ensure compliance.
  • Uphold company standards for professionalism and client satisfaction.

  • Strong leadership skills to manage subcontractors and ensure safety and quality standards on-site.

  • Ability to maintain schedules and budgets while adapting to changing site conditions.
  • Hands-on approach with a focus on safety compliance and proactive issue resolution.
  • Proficiency with project management and reporting tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
  • Flexibility to travel within South Florida and work in a fast-paced environment.
