Job Summary

Blackstone Construction is seeking a Construction Superintendent to provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects in Southern Nevada. The candidate will be responsible for all onsite activities of a construction project ranging from start-up to punch-out, including:

Coaching subcontractors on safe construction practices Quality control, ensuring all subcontractor deficiencies are corrected Maintaining the project schedule and establishing the critical path for subs and vendors Facilitating and encouraging subcontractor coordination Working with design team and owner to overcome challenges / unforeseen conditions Reviewing all drawings, specifications, and submittals Daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates
The superintendent's role is to ensure whatever is required to facilitate the construction of the project on site from beginning to completion while utilizing Blackstone's best practices in safety, quality, schedule, and cost while maintaining relationships with both our trade partners and our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Lead safety initiatives by coaching subcontractors and enforcing compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols. Conduct regular quality inspections, identify deficiencies, and coordinate corrections with subcontractors. Develop and monitor project schedules, including critical path analysis, to mitigate delays and optimize resource allocation. Foster collaboration among subcontractors, vendors, design teams, and owners to resolve issues proactively. Review and approve drawings, specifications, submittals, and change orders for accuracy and compliance. Prepare and distribute daily progress reports, weekly schedule updates, and as-built documentation. Manage cost control measures, including tracking labor, approve site timecards, materials, and subcontractor performance. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, trade partners, and internal teams to support repeat business and referrals.

Required Qualifications and Experience

The right candidate will have the following experience/capabilities:

At least 5 years' experience as a Commercial Building Superintendent, preferably in Southern Nevada. Experience with and a general understanding of structural concrete and structural steel components. A general understanding of MEP systems. A general understanding of UG civil utilities and earthwork in general. A general understanding of the public works side of commercial construction. A general understanding of interior and exterior finishes and their sequencing. Experience with Procore, Foundation Software. Be able to pass a background check.

Preferred Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and other construction management software. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes, and Southern Nevada regulations. OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
