Join a growing leader in specialty construction! My client is seeking an experienced Safety Director/Manager to lead safety initiatives across high-profile projects in VA, MD, and DC. As Safety Director/Manager, you will own and coordinate all safety programs, compliance, and training across projects and teams.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee OSHA compliance and workers' compensation programs
  • Partner with GCs and internal teams on safety initiatives
  • Develop and implement company-wide safety programs
  • Conduct job hazard assessments and provide actionable reports
  • Ensure all staff meet required safety training standards
  • Lead safety meetings and increase awareness at project level
  • Manage and mentor assistant safety managers and field reps

You're a proactive safety leader with a strong understanding of OSHA compliance and construction safety programs. You thrive in a collaborative environment and can influence safety culture across multiple sites.
Ideal Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of safety management experience (GC or subcontractor)
  • Background in drywall oversight is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and compliance
  • Ability to lead and mentor safety teams
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Spanish language skills highly preferred
  • STSC certification or ability to obtain
