This position reports directly to the
General Manager
and will grow into managing
3-5 direct reports within 12 months
. The ideal candidate has strong construction operations experience, leadership capability, and a hands-on approach to solving problems in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Project & Operations Management
Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously
Coordinate project schedules, crew schedules, and manpower planning
Ensure projects meet timeline, budget, safety, and quality requirements
Act as a bridge between field teams and office leadership
Scheduling & Resource Planning
Develop and maintain detailed project and labor schedules
Assign crews and resources efficiently across active job sites
Adjust schedules based on material availability, staffing, and project changes
Purchasing, Inventory & Warehouse Management
Oversee purchasing of construction materials and equipment
Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess material
Coordinate warehouse operations, material staging, and deliveries to job sites
Improve logistics processes to reduce delays and inefficiencies
Job Costing & Financial Tracking
Track job costs including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
Monitor budgets and identify cost overruns or savings opportunities
Support forecasting, reporting, and profitability analysis
Provide accurate project and operations reports to the General Manager
Quality Control
Establish and enforce company quality control standards
Conduct jobsite reviews and inspections to ensure work meets specifications
Identify quality issues early and coordinate corrective actions
Reduce rework by improving field execution and communication
Track quality metrics and trends across projects
Safety & Compliance
Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements
Promote a strong safety culture across all crews and job sites
Coordinate safety training, audits, and incident reporting
Team Leadership & Hiring
Hire, train, and manage Project Coordinators and operational staff
Build scalable processes to support company growth
Coach and develop team members for performance and accountability
Prepare to manage up to 3-5 direct reports within the first year
Qualifications
Required
5+ years of experience in construction project management or construction operations
Strong background in scheduling crews and managing multiple projects
Experience with purchasing, inventory management, and job costing
Knowledge of construction logistics and warehouse operations
Proven leadership and team management skills
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Excel
Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required
Preferred
OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience scaling construction operations or building processes
Familiarity with Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, or similar software
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
