Responsibilities:
Related Midwest is seeking a Project Manager to support the construction process for two of our large-scale residential developments. This role will involve coordinating pre-development activities, assisting with scheduling, logistics, cost management, financial reporting, and day-to-day construction operations. The Project Manager will work closely with Related's design, development, and finance teams, as well as external engineers, consultants, contractors, and government agencies such as HUD, AAHC, and local/state officials.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Monitor all phases of assigned projects to ensure compliance with contract documents, company standards, and client requirements.
Prepare and manage project schedules; update regularly to reflect progress and critical path.
Conduct regular site walks to verify safety compliance, quality control, and schedule adherence.
Implement document control procedures for construction-related records, including contracts, insurance, and change orders.
Manage scope reviews, bid processes, and contract awards.
Review RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals to confirm alignment with project requirements.
Track and monitor fabrication progress, monthly billings, and budget compliance.
Negotiate change orders and manage cost reporting, purchase orders, and general conditions.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and agencies to resolve issues in a timely manner and escalate when necessary.
Support project accounting functions with an emphasis on risk
Qualifications:
5+ years of construction experience with a focus on mid/high multi family residential new construction projects.
Self motivated and results oriented decision maker.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively communicate and collaborate in writing and verbally.
Significant knowledge of architectural, structural, civil and MEP systems.
Extensive onsite construction/field experience.
Well-developed project management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred: Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering + Management, Architecture, other related fields or experience
Previous experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Building Connected, Plan Grid, Textura, eBuilder, Microsoft Suite or similar platforms strongly preferred.
