THE PERFECT CANDIDATE





The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in estimating commercial construction projects, a strong understanding of industry's best practices, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors in a collaborative and supportive team culture.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES




Reads and interprets drawings, specifications and RFQ documents for prospective projects. Responds timely and thoroughly to bid requests, ensuring bid packages are complete and consistent. Develops labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates for prospective projects and develops estimates incorporating all costs for review by company leadership. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, material prices, and industry trends. Track historical cost data to improve future estimates. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids. Develop preliminary work schedules. Highly involved with project team's preconstruction and early construction handoffs. Maintains a high degree of integrity, loyalty and honesty by not divulging confidential information pertaining to Coast's operations or bids. Seeking new work opportunities or improving existing systems or processes.

QUALIFICATIONS




Bachelor's degree in construction management/10+ years of commercial construction. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes. Proven expertise with estimating/accounting software (e.g., Sage, Bluebeam, Building Connect or other project management software). Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
