Rio Grande Building & Storage is a woman-owned, veteran-owned, and locally owned and operated family business in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are busy and work in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a motivated individual to act as our construction office operations manager.

The operations manager's main duties are to ensure smooth day-to-day business, compliance with local and federal regulations, and efficient communication between the office, field crews, vendors, clients, and ownership. The operation's manager either performs or oversees administrative and operational tasks implemented in support of the construction company's projects, personnel, financials, and overall business. Our ideal candidate is someone who has the integrity, motivation, and good humor to work as a team and push jobs forward to completion.

Key Responsibilities



Management of daily operations. Personnel: management of staff and subcontractors- including reviewing projects and performance, managing personnel files, managing subcontractor files and compliance, and taking part in hiring. Financial Administration: light bookkeeping, QuickBooks, accounts receivable, payments, invoices, reports, expenses, budgeting, bank reconciliation, Profit and Loss, taxes, Obtaining NTTCs, RFP Procurement, research and apply for national grants, bonds, or government contracts. Communications: answering phone calls, emails as needed. Scheduling: meetings, deliveries, jobs. Project management: supporting project needs and project leads. Ensuring timelines are met. Records and Licenses: Maintaining and renewing records online and physically, including but not limited to business licenses, permits, and annual reports. Safety: ensuring company safety and compliance with regulations across all jobsites.

Construction industry management QuickBooks Online and Microsoft 365 Construction tools and software: CompanyCam, Houzz Strong organization skills Strong communication skills, writing, and active listening Attention to details Dedicated, reliable, and punctual Collaborative, curious, and adaptable Capacity to prioritize and organize many tasks and projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
