JOB BRIEF

The Construction Manager provides support to the Project Manager by coordinating project activities related to all projects. The position's main duties are to ensure the continuity and efficiency of each project from start to finish through clear communication with all parties involved. The Construction Manager handles multiple projects within a fast-paced environment and is subject to constant changes and challenges. The main categories of responsibility will include layouts, scheduling, daily job logs/communication and ensuring design accuracy and quality control. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once in the absence of day-to-day guidance.

RESPONSIBILITES

While there is no "typical" day in the life of an Artis Construction Manager, a snapshot might include the following:

Effectively communicate with Project Manager, and other stakeholders as needed Serve as the liaison between the Project Manager and all crew/subcontractors/vendors. Effectively communicate job costing and schedule information with Project Manager. Maintain daily job logs for assigned projects, including writing descriptions of work performed and explaining problems as they arise. Approve crew time entries daily and cost code vendor and subcontractor invoices in software programs. Read architectural plans and provide layouts and daily tasks to carpenters and subcontractors. Ensure accuracy of construction based on architectural, structural and interior design plans. Oversee onsite workers and subcontractors to ensure quality. Interact with neighbors if needed. Assist Project Manager with schedule updates and adapt as needed with crews. Anticipate project material lists and labor force requirements and communication to Project Manager.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
